Feed A Stray is Vandana Kaparia's personal work
to feed, treat, and care for stray dogs and cats in Rajasthan. She
does this herself every day. It is not a shelter, NGO, or
organisation run by anyone else.
She feeds, treats, and cares for every animal herself

What Vandana does for strays
Every day Vandana shows up for animals who have no one else. Here
is what your support helps her provide.
π₯£
Daily feeding
Vandana puts out meals on the streets of Jodhpur and coordinates
daily feeding for animals back in Sri Ganganagar, where she grew
up.
π
Medicine & treatment
Mange, wounds, infections, and illness. As a doctor, she treats
what she can and gets vet help when an animal needs more.
π
Two cities, one mission
Vandana lives in Jodhpur and cares for 15+ strays there herself.
In her hometown Sri Ganganagar, 20+ animals are looked after by
a small team she trained and supports from afar.
β€οΈ
She funds it herself
For five years Vandana has paid for food, medicine, and vet
visits from her own pocket. She set up this page for friends and
family who want to share the load with her.
β¨ Vandana's story
Doctor by day, stray-mama always
Vandana Kaparia is a BAMS graduate who has worked
with the government for the last 7 years. She is
now pursuing her MD in Medicine in Jodhpur, while
still showing up every day for the strays who need her.
Her journey began in her hometown,
Sri Ganganagar, where she started feeding,
healing, and nursing injured dogs and cats on the streets. In
2026 she moved to Jodhpur and brought that same
mission with her. The family of animals she cares for keeps growing.
Today Vandana personally feeds and treats
15+ strays in Jodhpur, where she lives. Back in
Sri Ganganagar, a small team she trained looks
after 20+ more animals every day. She still
coordinates their food and medicine from Jodhpur. For five years
she has funded nearly all of this herself. She is sharing this page
with people she trusts who want to help.
In Vandana's words
βHealing people is my profession. Healing strays is my joy.
They're family too.β
